These mittens. I am so smitten with these mittens. For one, this colorwork design was the rare variety where every single step of the way was enjoyable. I look at these and I don’t even know where they came from, like I made them in a dream. The design just kind of fell into place.
Second, I am so very glad to have had a chance to work with the folks at Cephalopod Yarns. I’ve been familiar with them for a while but feel totally and completely head over heels for them when I saw their booth at Stitches West last winter. Their yarns simply SING! The Skinny Bugga brings Medusa to life here! Sarah at Cephalopod says that the Chester Cricket colorway (the yellow/green) is their signature color and I can see why. It’s such a unique and shade and really plays well with the deep, intense jeweled blue of the Charaxes Tiridate. I think I’ve found my go-to yarn for amazing colors!
